A very rare set of four Chinese hardwood George II side chairs with carved incurved back splats, lion mask knees on cabriole legs ending in paw feet. Micro analyzed, the wood used is "Dragon's Eye Lungdon", a tropical Asian hardwood. Chairs of this style were imitated from English examples by Chinese artisans for their patrons living in China.
